Collaboration with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP)
Greenvit took part in an international project carried out in collaboration with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), the aim of which was to develop and standardise an analytical method for chokeberry extract Aronia melanocarpa (Michx.) Elliott.
The scope of the collaboration included:
An international analytical project focused on chokeberry extract, HPLC method development and standardisation.
- 1 Development of an HPLC method for determining the anthocyanin content in chokeberry extract
- 2 Full validation of the developed analytical method
- 3 Optimisation of the method by removing relative response factors that were unfavourable from a quality perspective
- 4 Supply by Greenvit of aronia extract serving as a reference material (quality standard)

The result of this collaboration was the use of the method developed by Greenvit for the analysis of Aronia melanocarpa (Michx.) Elliott extract – together with the samples we supplied – by the USP Science & Research department to create an official monograph for aronia extract.
